What are our goals?
Our goal is for students coming up through middle school, leaving high school, and entering college to be equipped with the following:
- A relationship with Jesus Christ
- To understand of the importance of Christian community
- To be a light in the darkness
How do we get there?
We do this through Sunday School, Wednesday night Bible study—Forge, monthly fun activities, summer camp, mission trips, and serving locally.
Forge: Wednesday night
Forge is for all teens 7th–12th grades. Throughout the school year, Forge enjoys coming together for fun, food, and learning every Wednesday evening from 5:00–8:00 pm. From 5-6pm, we have Study Hall, followed by supper from 6-6:30pm, and then Bible study and group games until 8pm. Throughout the month, there are other scheduled activities for the youth to attend. Students are encouraged to attend or help lead Sunday school on Sunday mornings at 9:15am in the Student Ministries Center. Every year, the youth also take a mission trip, attend church camp, help with VBS, and try to do local mission work. This group loves to work, learn, and play together.
Throughout our worship service, Junior High, Senior High, and College-Age Youth will be asked to take on various leadership roles such as: welcome in younger students, lead announcements, offer prayer, lead and explain games, read scripture, run technology, lead songs, and help with discussion groups as needed.
Kids’ Church is a 10:30 AM Worship Service designed for children from ages 4yrs to 5th grade. It is dedicated to teaching children the Bible and Christian beliefs through stories, crafts, and games. Children will learn to develop a fundamental relationship with Jesus Christ on their level.
For children, we offer 2s and 3s Sunday School, 4s and 5s Sunday School, and Elementary Sunday School at 9:15 AM and Kids’ Church at 10:30 AM on Sunday mornings. During the week we have SonShine preschool for 2–4 yrs (contact the church office for info). During the summer, we have Summer Camp and Vacation Bible School.
