1) Why do you support the campaign?
2) What is your vision of Grace? What would you like to see happen?
3) Why should others support this campaign? Why is this important to our church?
We are growing. We are currently using every possible space in our current building. We need a place large enough for the two services (9:15 and 10:30) to worship together in a building dedicated for that purpose. Also, as we continue to grow, provisions have been made in the new sanctuary to provide additional space by adding a balcony at a fraction of the cost of building another building. A new building, with the opportunity to expand, will meet our congregational needs for some time in the future.
My vision for Grace is the same as those in the district a number of years ago who saw the need to minister to a growing area in Lee’s Summit and voted to build a church here. And, that Grace will continue to be a place to worship and enjoy Christian fellowship. My desire is that we continue to find new, creative, and effective ways to encourage our members toward an authentic relationship with Jesus Christ.
There is power in numbers. What one person would find impossible to do on their own, a congregation of like minded believers can easily accomplish. In addition, there is a collective enthusiasm as we work together to build something new. Everyone should have the opportunity to construct a building that they and future members can enjoy. How fortunate we are to have enough property to grow on this site and not have to move to another location.
